Thinking of sailing in the med during peak season? Peak season in Croatia is June/July/August/September. Charter catamarans will always start on a Saturday and end Saturday. Also med moor applies. This means you will most likely have to med moor on Marinas facing with your stern to dock and anchors in front alongside other catamarans and monohulls. It is advised that if you do decide to charter a catamaran and would like to ensure marina space that you reserve in advance as they are very popular. You can also anchor. Moorings are not always available.
So, say you have a group of 12. The less expensive 4 cabin catamarans can sleep 8 in 4 double catamarans. Then the salon can sleep 2. The yacht will most likely come with 2 V berths up forward for additional 2 guests. This would be the least expensive option. Otherwise you can charter a 5 cabin but the price will jump a lot!
You also need a sailing license to bareboat the catamaran. Otherwise you can hire a professional skipper for the duration. You will need to forward your license and experience to your charter company of choice.
